Leo is also very upset that Ethan joined the military. Now this legendary playboy always has a glamorous woman on his arm. Two new books from the series will be available each month on Harlequin. I liked Leo too because he was caring and had a great deal of respect towards Lizzie. As a plastic surgeon, he also sees patients while he is managing the clinic. Head nurse Helen has a secret. Lizzie Birch has been hired to run the clinic.
Renowned plastic surgeon Leo Hunter has sacrificed everything to restore the Hunter Clinic to its former glory. Is Lizzie the chosen one to reform Playboy Leo Hunter as this time if he wants her, he is going to have to up his ante and show her that he is in this for the long run. Well nearly, but I couldn't because I was on the train. And it might break all his rules, but Leo can't resist the challenge of unbuttoning the intriguing Lizzie! Anyway - this was a good start to the series, it introduced a whole bunch of people and I find myself wanting to know their stories. Leo Hunter, excellent plastic surgeon, did care about his brother Ethan, patients, and staff is very evident.
I expect this to happen. It was so annoying and a little preachy as if the writer was told to let us see a different side. Great news - if she wasn't working with surgeon Declan Underwood, the man she kissed at the hospital ball Declan's notoriety with women is rivalled only by his reputation as the best reconstructive surgeon But Kara's about to discover there's more to her charismatic maverick than meets the eye. Hiring Lizzie is not his choice but his brother Ethan refuses to rejoin Hunter Clinic if she is not hired. This is what I think of as the perfect 3 star book, it's a nice easy romantic read with likeable characters.
She knows that he catches the 7:02 train to London with her. Surgeon In A Tux by Carol Marinelli kicks off a new medical series— 200 Harley Street which explores the world of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Junior surgeon Kara Stephens has been assigned her first high-profile case to help an injured princess. Lizzie arrives after being hired on the spot as Head Nurse. There were three things different about her this freezing Monday morning though.
When she's not writing she's reading, when she's not reading she's writing. Lizzie Birch has been hired to run the clinic. And it might break all his rules, but Leo can't resist the challenge of unbuttoning the intriguing Lizzie! Most days her mom does not know who she is. Lots of sex scenes that I skipped over. I didn't feel any real emotion or caring that should have pulled me into the story. This one was actually pretty good - a lot of details of the operations of the hospital, and a relatively stress-free romance between a playboy coming to realize that he shouldn't be so afraid of commitment, and a responsible woman who's coming to realize that maybe she doesn't need to be quite so responsible. I've got to say, I'm not normally a medical romance fan I prefer your bog standard modern romances - mainly the Penny Jordan ones but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth and thought I'd give it a go.
It is an out and out love story and I couldn't put it down. Leo is a legendary playboy who carries off his scrubs like his tux and is always sighted with a glamorous woman on his arm. And it might break all his rules, but Leo can't resist the challenge of unbuttoning the intriguing Lizzie! Now he and little Mia have come to London to rebuild their lives, and there's no room for anyone else in his damaged heart. Lizzie is just starting her new job as head nurse at the exclusive Hunter Clinic on Harley Street, while she knows Ethan Hunter, that's the recommendation that secured her the job, she's never met his older brother Leo Hunter although his reputation precedes him, he's reportedly a brilliant surgeon but also a legendary playboy. Problems over how Leo handled their father while they were growing up is also in contention.
I felt that the story spent more time on the playboy romance than the medical aspect of the story. Now this legendary playboy—equally at home in a tux as he is in his scrubs—always has a glamorous woman on his arm. Her first impression of Leo does nothing but reassure her of his playboy status as standing in his office is his current fling in her red lacy underwear. She's the first woman in a long time who is resistant to Leo's intoxicating charms. Leo is the quintessential playboy at the start of the book but the reader gets to know about the various dimensions to his character as the story goes on. The source of book has no bearing on the outcome of our reviews. It's not perfect - there are grammatical errors in here and the author doesn't write as well as Penny Jordan that's a lot to ask of any author though.
The clinic caters to the needs of the rich and famous by giving them the best results with complete privacy. So it was I enjoy Carol Marinelli. I may not continue the series, but I am glad I read this one. Leo and Ethan are completely different brothers who are at odds with each other. A great start to a new medical series can't wait to read the rest of the books over the coming months! Ethan is still recovering from wounds he received from his time in the military and having been in the hospital and physical therapy for a long time. Leo Hunter is a famous plastic surgeon who runs the clinic.
This is what I think of as the perfect 3 star book, it's a nice easy romantic read with likeable characters. But after one sensational, star-studded night with new colleague and fellow American Grace Turner, Mitchell finds himself daring to live again! Lots of drama, starting with Lizzie's first day of work. Yes, he was reeling me in by the time my gorgeous heroine, Lizzie, first picked up the phone and spoke to him. She's the first woman in a long time who is resistant to Leo's intoxicating charms. But when Ethan learns that he'll be working alongside beautiful surgeon Olivia Fairchild—the woman whose heart he regretfully broke—he can't help but remember the passion they once shared…and he's surprised by the sinfully delicious sparks her touch still ignites! Her books are often intense, but this was quite a slow build which was nice. What is harder to do is change my thinking when I feel ambivalent toward a hero - like I did at first with Leo. Renowned plastic surgeon Leo Hunter has sacrificed everything to restore the Hunter Clinic to its former glory.
