But good description, good characters I could mostly tell apart a large cast, though , interesting and complex relationships. Parallel stories, expertly intertwined I've enjoyed a number of Anne Granger books and think this is one of her best. When I bought this novel, the lady in the bookshop - also a Granger fan - said that she had heard that this would be the last Mitchell and Markby story. Meredith Mitchell and Chief Inspector Markby are back once more.
